Privacy Policy

This policy describes what this website collects and how it is used. Reading about a health topic is sensitive, and we treat it that way.

Scope and status of this policy

Keep this current as the site adds services

This policy describes the site as currently built. It must be reviewed and updated before enabling analytics, advertising, newsletter processing, or any referral integration, and before launch it should be reviewed by counsel for your specific jurisdiction and obligations.

What we collect

  • Server request data: your IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and timestamp are processed by our hosting provider to serve pages and protect against abuse.
  • Newsletter email address, only if you submit one. Newsletter signup is not yet operational; nothing is stored through it at this time.
  • We do not ask for, and you should not send us, health information about yourself.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not require an account, and we do not build individual reader profiles.
  • We do not put personal data in URLs or query strings.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Health-topic sensitivity

Which drug pages a person reads can reveal something private about them. We design around that: no reader accounts, no cross-site tracking pixels for advertising as currently built, and no sharing of page-level reading data with third parties.

If advertising or analytics is added, this section will name each vendor and what it receives before that vendor is enabled.

Cookies

The site as currently built does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will provide a consent mechanism where required and update this policy first.

Third parties

Our hosting provider processes requests in order to serve the site. Outbound links to the FDA, NIH, CMS, and manufacturer sites take you to third parties with their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Your choices

You can browse without providing any information. If you subscribe to the newsletter once it is live, every email will include an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time by emailing editorial@weightlossdrugsguide.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Email editorial@weightlossdrugsguide.com to make a request.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes materially, we update the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after an update means the current version applies.
